However, it still makes sense to have one mounted (and zerod) and if the primary optic goes down, simply remove it and roll with the irons. WebAug 27, 2014 · The original acogs were meant to be placed on top of a carry handle. With that said, to properly use the channel, you'll have to remove the mount, and get the proper screws to place it on the a2 carry handle. Most of the 4x acogs have this channel. There are trijicon models that feature a buis on the top of the rifle along with the channel.

I taught 147 Marines about that aspect just 2 days ago using occluded-optic exercises; it's not really that tough to do. A TA11 or TA33 would likely be a better choice, if the close-up stuff is a greater need/want than the long range aspect.
