WebJan 6, 2008 · In the past week I have made 2 antennas for HDTV reception from a 'How To' I saw on You Tube. I have a Channel Master 4228 & I didn't want to split the signal from it. I tried this homemade antenna & it works almost as good as the 4228 one of the best UHF antennas availiable. It's made with a 1" x 3"x 2.5 ' piece of wood & 6 coat hangers. WebJan 16, 2007 · The 4228's are highly directional so you'll see a severe dropoff in signal strength if you're not aimed directly at the broadcast towers. I think I'm missing one of the local channels from DC since I've got the antennas aimed at the main network affiliate towers. The missing channel is far enough off axis that I don't get a strong enough signal.

All working but, I am getting in and out pixelation some times. Typicaly lasts for just a second or so. Installed a distb amp (with internal spilitter) at the tvs to boost the signal. I am getting a signal of 65-80 on channel ... WebI installed the CM-4228 with no problems what so ever. The CM-3090 J-Mount fit with no problems. I now have 5 TV's hooked to the antenna and have good reception - clear … psychopathy symptoms in children

I have the more expensive DB8 and it worked great in the attic (40 miles out from the towers and a heck of a poor LOS for me) except for a weak channel so they had to mount it on the roof. If your 4228 doesnt work out, maybe fork out the green for the DB8 and see if it works for you. hosttech imap settings
