The jaundice was relieved by a cholecystostomy but the patient's condition steadily deteriorated over the next 2 years and he died. Pathology The liver has been sliced and mounted to display the cut surface. WebUltrasound and computed tomography of the abdomen showed multiple cystic lesions in the liver. Ultrasound guided needle aspiration revealed yellowish brownish aspirate, which was flooded with acid-fast bacilli. The abscess was drained under ultrasound guidance.
